The Rangers Flying Club has enjoyed a long and prestigious history. It began
as a Boy Scout leader's vision to teach young men about the thrills and
wonders of aviation. It progressed as a social and learning organization
devoted to extending the opportunities for general aviation. The club members
adopted uniforms, taught weekly classes and progressed their own skills
while teaching their fellow members. In the 1960's and 1970's the Rangers
produced large air shows for the enjoyment of Twin Cities and Minnesota
residents. The Club also sponsored interested international students for
study programs to gain their pilots licenses.
Through the years, The Rangers Flying Club has provided opportunities for hundreds of people to become more involved in general aviation. The club currently has commercial airplane pilots, an FAA air traffic controllers and former military pilots in it's ranks. We salute those who have come before us and look forward to a bright future as Rangers!
